| DESCRIPTION: | Wintex-S injection contains Ceftriaxone, a cephalosporin and Sulbactam, a beta lactamases inhibitor which acts synergistically to provide better results in difficult to treat infections. It is prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gynecological infections, intra-abdominal infections, for surgical prophylaxis, infections in blood as well bone and joint infections apart from others. |
| SIDE EFFECTS: | The main side effects of combination are pain, indurations and tenderness at the site of injection; others are rash, disturbances in white blood cell count, diarrhea & liver enzyme elevations. |
