Tazopath injection is a combination of Piperacillin, a Penicillin & Tazobactam, a beta-lactam inhibitor. Piperacillin kills bacteria by breaking their membranes and Tazobactam stops the enzymes that make bacteria resistant to the antibiotic, thus together they act synergistically. It is used in cases of serious infections of chest, urinary system & blood along with others.
